Lets get strait to the point, since the latest Facebook redesign I've noticed interactions on Bullying UK's Facebook Page fall off the cliff. See for yourself below in the previous months it was a steady peak and flow of users popular stories would get lots of likes or comments then you come to the last week or so and bam off the cliff we go.
A status update doesn't appear in a users stream the same way a link does but either way both are more prominent in a users stream than before. Also interactions are shown to users friends more prominently so "should" be more viral.
Even with TwitterFeed posting status updates from the RSS I was still posting my usual fundraising links in as well..... guess what off the cliff like a lemming.
{jb_greenbox}If the new Facebook is working those links should still be getting a similar level or higher of interactions!!!{/jb_greenbox}
I've turned off Twitterfeed on Friday and next week will return to doing it the old way, I have spoken to some other orgs about their numbers and their reporting similar but not as extreme results as well. It's possible I have compounded the problem by using Twitterfeed and users just aren't liking the or seeing the message but it's a status update so it "should" be just as good as a link or better.
Have you seen something similar? Can you share your date with me either privately or to add to this page? Am I wrong?
Let me know in the comments or @johncarnell
