Nasa that well known bunch of geeks from beyond the stars are carrying out a new experiment, to blow up a bit of the moon :-)

This is Nasa's first mission to our nearest neighbour for over a decade and us earthlings will be able to follow the entire thing using social media.

Nasa have setup a number of feeds relaying mission data and images from the experiment, you can follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Nasa TV this isn't the first time the space cadets have given social media an orbital pass they have been Twittering from the International Space Station for a while.
